In Nov 2013 a powerful typhoon raged through the Visayan and Tacloban regions of the Philippines, bringing devastation and a great loss of life. "Touch the Philippines" together with a video slideshow assembled by Rod Rosales that showed scenes of the destruction was shared online through facebook and social media over 100,000 times in the first few days. The images which revealed clearly the indomitable spirit of Filipinos, together with the words of this prayer-song, brought hope, comfort and much-needed consolation to the nation.
